Google building its own optical network

    yeah i'm not going to sign up either but apparently there is speculation that it may have something to do with the giant metal crates that they have in their underground parking lot in mountain view... many say that these are mobile datacenters that they can drop off anywhere they have fiber and electricity, thereby creating a redundant nationwide network of cheap datacenters...
