    As Google announced about Google Breadcrumb update. What will be effect/s on the website and SEO after this update release by April 6, 2020? Will website drop from their rank and lost traffic for this?

    I think this will affect "sitelinks", not rankings in search results.

    Most of your site's pages won't need a breadcrumb - for those that do it makes sense to add them for the user's benefit.

    It's impacting on how your site appears in the results - those with breadcrumbs may be perceived to have more substance.


    Edit: just added some to one of my sites. Will be interesting to see if they flow through

    Is it really hart to see many websites dropped their rank from Google SERP. But the truth is I safe from the effect of the Google Breadcrumb update. :)

    I like breadcrumb links. I don't know what repels people from using sitelinks more. They used to be called footer links - which would show up at the bottom of every web page on that site. These then evolved to be navigational links that lead you to where you want to go. I don't mind them. I would use them. Ideally, I would place breadcrumb links on the top and bottom of every web page, just to make sure people know where they are at on my site. This is in addition to the navigational menu - I would put these as text links above and below the page content. Thank you.
