It looks like Google spiders CAN and DO read java script. How do I know? I did a search for sites which contain my domain name for one of my sites and Google returned search results which contain my EXACT AdWords ad wording and the URL. When i visit those pages, of course the words and url is nowhere to be found. This tells me that Google spidered the page when my ad was being displayed. It also tells me that Google spiders waste user AdWords/money.
Are you sure you're being billed ? I mean, AS server is going to know when it's own IP's are requesting the info. I'd think it was filtered. There's of course only one way to test it..
Google have been reading js for a while now. It has indexed the print friendly and pdf pages of my site for some time now, all of which are lauched in popups using javascript.
I would be very careful about making such a statement unless you are absolutely certain, as it is libelous if not true. Google ignores links to its own pages in the serps. I.E. set up a search for widgets as a link on a page, and Google will not include it as a backlink, as it ignores links from itself. There is no way on Gods earth that I can imagine Google not having a stop code in adwords to prevent this happening, it is too simplistic an error to make. Google have been able to spider Javascript for some time, and also PDf files and flash to a point (it all depends how the pdf & flash text is configured. The bot that is best is googlebot/new
i am 100% sure you are wrong. i guess you saw your adwords on alexa.com or amazon.com. google is stupid. i show no respect to it. google is a criminal with trace. FBI is still looking for WMD in Iraq, not paying attention to google.
