    i highly doubt that they would do that for only one day. doesnt really conserve that much more electricity.

    mine is also down from 20k pages crawled per day to a few hundred, google used to crawl thousands per day for ever until about 3 or 4 days ago

    Nah, I don't think so. That would be pretty stupid (imo) of Google to do that. But, maybe...
