So on here I see debates about if links in sigs help... hurt or just plain dont matter. I have also read about where google and other bots will ignore anything below a _______ so its not spidered links.. Also digital points forums are not using any seo friendly url scheme, another thing your supposed to need for google to like you. Long story short I posted a link in my signature that says "Index me please" and 3 hours later googlebot stoped by. I am impressed. See the full access log here if you care. Googlebot is all over the forums, and quite quick. No less than 264,000 pages indexed. and no reason it shouldn't be, there's quality content generating here. Even before shawn started the vBulleting forums, his indexed discussion list used to have pages which ranked higher for MY products than my own [damn] pages!
Absolutely spot on. I have used the sig links, and also the blog links, for precisely that purpose of speed of indexing/caching - google was caching every day up to the 29th!
