Hi, I was reading about the google bomb.. but it doesnt make me so clear.. does anyone know how useful is this for me?
I would not recommend trying to bomb Google, more reading, http://searchengineland.com/google-kills-bushs-miserable-failure-search-other-google-bombs-10363
The best example of the "Google Bomb" was the MISERABLE FAILURE key words, when all of those links pointed to the White House (dot) Gov site of George W. Bush. Even though the site itself (www.whitehouse.gov) did not contain the words "Miserable" or "Failure"--- the millions of links that had the words "Miserable Failure" in them, caused the White House site to rise to #1 for the search ("Miserable + Failure") in Google! A more benign form of Google Bomb is using Anchor Text in your links. Its not really a bad thing.......because if those key words are on your site, this will give you #1 in the Non-sponsored (organic) Search Results. My own site is using the words "Sacramento + Weddings", in the anchor text (see my signature below) I try to make sure that every site linking to mine has at least one or two of my KW from my metas. This produces relevancy in the links, giving them higher quality for Google purposes.
Its an old point. At that time, if you suddenly build many links poiting to a site with some anchor text, soon when people do a search that site should be pointed as one of the first results. Now Google detects it and dont work anymore.
