It is some kind of "manipulating" the search results of google.

I changed my mind, I don't want to use anchors....so forget about it...

 

IMO, it has no value anymore since the last Google Algorithm update.

 

I had that experience before, it was a filter for 1 page I over optimized using same anchor.
the good thing is that it comes back as soon as you change some of the anchors to similar kws

Google bombing is no use for anchor same as page title or domain.

 

Am not quite sure if it's still working and more, but have seen some filters for any anchor text over optimization ?

 

It's a lot harder to GoogleBomb now then it used to be but it can be done, especially if your target domain has a lot of authority and trust (e.g. whitehouse.gov)

You can't google bomb a page that does not have that keyword as part of the content
Google changed it after the incident with Bush:
When you typed in miserable failure, the first result was the site of president Bush.
