Hi all , i know that the Google Bombing is used by many users to rank a specific page for a keyword that it does'nt contain by filling the links anchor text with that keyword . Some peopel say that Google considers Google Bombing like a Black Hat technique if a page is "Bombed" for an off-subject keyword , and that it will allow it if the page is bombed for a keyword on the same subject . But how does Google officially consider Google Bombing ? Lord_Coder .
Google doesn't penalize for incoming links, no matter the anchor text. If it did, then I could make my competiton go away p.l.u.r.
It's not SEO, so it can't be black hat SEO. I mean if bush gets google-bombed as dead weight (or whatever), that isn't search engine optimization for him: he hasn't asked for that. It also probably doesn't really have an effect on his other rankings. It is pretty darn stupid to google-bomb. Unkind and in a sense a misuse of the google-algorithms. In the sense that it misuses the google-algorithms, it's black hat. But who cares, really?
Google has ads on the known bombed phrases to explain illustrating they're not overly impressed yet don't want to adjust manually either. My guess is they think of it as extreme manipulation of their algorithm hence black hat. I'd say perfectly legit, just a exploiting a weakness in their system.
One of the few that know that. I say know because it is a fact. Incoming links cannot hurt you. Google bombing hmm. I think we got better things to argue about
Wrong it isn't a weakness. People have found ways to do this to everything from law, search to buying/selling. It doesn't matter what it is. The only way to accurately relevantly rank a site is through backlink calculation which is how google bombing works so this isn't a weakness as there is no other way to do it. Its the cooperation of many parties working together to do it.
If hundreds of websites use terms to describe a website, that aren't on that website (or related to the content on that website), that is a clear flag that google-bombing is going on.

What about adobe.com? You know, click here anchor text I think that they are still numero uno for "click here" so it is clear that G doesn't penalize or anything for bombing... maybe sometimes in the future but I don't believe it... p.l.u.r.
Correct. The weakness is that Google relies almost too much on backlinks. That's why Google SEO is dead simple. It's all links. It shouldn't be possible to get a page to rank for a term that isn't even mentioned directly or semantically on the page. It's like pointing to a red car saying it's a yellow bike and the person you're saying it believing it. Makes no sense. That's the weakness. And we put it to good use.
