A Google bomb or Google washer is a certain attempt to influence the ranking of a given page in results returned by the Google search engine.

    example: ]url=http://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&hl=en&q=miserable+failure&btnG=Google+Search]miserable failure[/url]

:) Kind of funny I think

Ha, this does get discovered once a week! LOL

I feel the same way about www.milliondollarhomepage.com ... even friends that don't know much about the www are sending me emails suggesting we start a www.billiondollarhomepage.com! Ha, no chance...

This just in.... "french military victories" is no longer returning the "Did you mean French Military Defeats". There are still sites ranking in the top ten explaining this, but Google seems to have corrected the issue.

Google bombing seems to still work but it is even more effective in Yahoo.

Yeh I remember that one when it was first discovered, I think back then, you were meant to click on "I'm feeling lucky" in google after entering the keywords.

Then it takes you to the first link straight away.
