    I believe Matt C. has said that the software that checks for Google bombs needs to run every once in a while (like a few times per year) to catch them. I was under the impression it wasn't automatically built into their algorithm.

    Ive been saying this even before they waged war on paid links that the Core off googles and any other
    SEs algo is about "back-links"..., and there isnt anything they can do about it other then strip it off
    its menacing keywords when it happens and move on ;)

    Google bomb is and always will be done by those whom

    1. Know how to
    2. wish to do so
    3. can afford to do so

    Google actually helps the bomber even more by adding at the bottom...

    Searches related to: who is the failure = barack obama failure - miserable failure
    and it gets back to the george bush bomb when you search deeper Lmao

    @barre, nice catch.

    @malcolm, maybe I'm having brain cloud, but what does "click bomb" have
    to do with a Google Bomb which is, afaik, a phenomenon of links?

    If Obama or Bush wasn't popular, i think google bomb will not be an issue. Its just a coincidence i guess so. :)

    It's not really a Google bomb when it's a general opinion. Peoples' natural linking patterns will influence a search engine that values links so highly.

    Exactly that's why Google wanted snitches for paid links, because paid links generally have good anchor text.

    Every SEO should know in Google back links are the main factor;)

    Its quite interesting.. Good for a laughs and amusements and passing it on virally to friends. Apart from that there is nt much use for this 'amusement for 5 seconds'
