I don't know of you have heard about the new feature for Google maps. It's called "Street View" and it is blowing my mind. I know it's not super new, but it was just implemented today on the map for Chicago, my home town. It is currently only in 15 U.S. cities as far as I can tell. To see an example Click Here, it is on the street in front of Wrigley Field. It should load with the street view, if not.... Simply click on the 'street view' button near 'traffic', 'map', 'satellite' in the top right of the actual map.
I did use that, then my computer become laggy and it's not fun anymore. It must be cool to see the image smoothly.
