I've seen that recently, it searches only blogs, does this mean that blogs will no more be in google.com search results?

    Not really Ruby.

Blog search is exclusively for blog searches, so when you search using any Blog search, it searches different Blogs only.

But you can find blogs in the generic web search too, but along with other general web pages.

So blog search makes it simple to search within the blogs. thats it.

Nah - it uses RSS so will pick up the latest blog entries rather than a search engine result.

The results seem to change a lot. Sometimes I rank number 1 for my main keyword and sometimes I don't show at all. It's wierd.

Also, what are the top results (Related Blogs: ) and how are they differant from the other results?

Yea, the google blog search is still beta so don't see why the would take blogs out of the regular google search.

I think ranking for Google's blog search are more about recent postings than anything else. I see a spike is searches from the blog search after every post. If I don't post for a while, the number of referrals from google blog search goes down. Just an observation.

I think your observation is completely correct.

If you search for "iPod" the first result is the most recent one posts. So, your entry will only last until someone else writes about the subject.
