Today I checked out some searches on the google blogsearch. Google is listing forums, article directorys, digg, pricegrabber and virtually any other feed in the results. Please Google, find out what a blog is.
I've not used the blogsearch, but it stands to reason it would be flawed if all it does is spider RSS feeds. I wonder how it compares to their Google Blog Search here: http://search.blogger.com/
It is suprisingly awful - the first time I was playing around with it I wound up clicking on a link to a virus..
I quite like Google blog search. It's great for obscure things and getting other peoples opinions of companies you might be thinking about using. It's also bang up to date. You can find a new page within minutes of it being posted rather than the days it takes Google to put a new page into it's index.
you are right, it is basically google feed search not blog search - they should rename it to Google Feed Search if they will keep including feeds from sources other than blogs
It was very promising when they started out, but then google has this very irritating habit of not updating it non-google services. Blogger was never updated until the recent beta release....
yeah full of crap , i am completly fed up with the blog search and now completly moved away from using it
