To get my blog to be listed in a gmail blog alert from Google, do you have to submit something special to Google, or does it just crawl every blog site and take any blog posts that are relevant to the particular keyword your getting alerts for?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, but it seemed the most relevant.

If site is listed in google blog search i think it lists the keywords or topic of new posts.

Ok, so I just have to keep pinging the blog through Google blog search then, I guess. Thanks!

Google blog alerts rotates through different blogs and sends links. I've noticed a rotation of sorts. for a few weeks I'll get a lot of inclusion, then it will fade and soon i get none. then it goes with different sites and slowly the cycle starts again.

And you don't have to ping anything i don't think. they use their searches.
