Google blocks searches

Strange problem and I am need of help. Started a few days ago.

When I search with Google it will deliver results, now when I search again for the same word on top op the search page appears. X (number) of results already stored. Sometimes that is all I get, often the links appear but Google is dead. Have to stop it with taskmanager.

Same behaviour does not happen with Altavista or Yahoo.

Computer protected with anti-virus, anti-malware and firewall.

Really drives me nuts. On another pc when I search it will not tell me how much I have stored already. CCleaner did help for a short period, but after surfing for a few minutes Google refused again to load the page or only loaded it 90%. Could not click a link or the return button in the URL bar.

Who knows what this behaviour causes.

    Thanks, Stephan

my searches were also blocked last day and i found the reason for me which was that i ran a custom made software for checking rankings in the google and my that tool was blocked by google and just after that i wasn't able to search anything in google lol

    Thanks both for your reaction.

Installing IE again: wil try that tonight.
I do not run any 'special' software.

    Suggestions and solutions are welcome.
Keep you posted of the progress.

    Some additional info:

The notebook that developed trouble with Google is the only one that shows search results (also when results are brought up) that has a different layout.

At the top of the page there are always two lines:
one saying how many files of the subject I have stored
one listing my email on the subject (if available) : I work at a school and mail from my schooladdress. So when I type in the name of my school in the search box, I see the header of my last mail.

Beneath that come the search results.
All our other (3) computers, simply list the search results without the addiitional lines. Perhaps this gives a clue..

    Thanks.

I found the cause after extensive Googling :) It was Google desktop, I deinstalled it and the problems are gone. Phew.

it is not google problem, it is your browser's problem.

once try removing all the temp files, cookies etc, other wise re install the browser
