Google blacklists AOM domains

Discussion in 'Amazon' started by camelclutchblog, Aug 25, 2010.

Sadly, Google has blacklisted two of my AOM domains. I am afraid that the trend will continue with my other stores (one of which gets a ton of traffic from google currently). Does anyone have a way around this or suggestions on how to make my site more google friendly? I'd consider embedding the AOM inside of a WP theme with unique content, but I am not good with CSS and that kind of stuff. So any help or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying but they were definitely blacklisted because of this. I have several other ones that are fine too, and one of the google blacklisted ones is ranking 3 on a great keyword on yahoo/bing so its fine. The other just seems like a lost cause:(.

This might be because of promotion or SEO method you have used. I don't see a reason for Google to blacklist AOM sites.

Again, I think Google will only blacklist obviously thin sites that have no decent content except rehashed Amazon content and no authority (backlinks etc.) As long as a site occupies a unique niche, is well covered with ongoing backlink development (the bit I always hate!) and has plenty of unique and useful content, there is no reason per se for Google to blacklist. You should see the crap I get away with :)

It probably fell foul of a manual review.

That was the reason. Search around, it has happened to dozens of AOM stores.
