    Why are you building a site that is going be just a duplicate of other? One easy way without using a robot.txt is adding meta tags like this within header of that site's pages...

    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

    You can come up with new versions of content from original site, not too similar or else, the second one might be a waste.

    Hi,

    Create our own Meta tags, dont copy and paste from others. You can refer Meta from other site. There is no use a page with out index, in terms of search.

    You can use Meta with "noindex" to avoid indexing by Search engines.

    Regards
