Hey guys, I need to look for any official statement or video from Google, specifically stating that parameters set as “Ignore†(in BWT or GWT) pass SEO value. Need this badly. Example sessionid = ignore http://www.example.com/dresses/green.htm?sessionid=273749 (external link) http://www.example.com/dresses/green.htm (SEO value passes here) Thanks!
As far as Google is concerned, ignoring certain parameters from GWT will help you better indexing of your website. This will also help you avoid unwanted content duplicacy in your website content. So you should wait by the time, Google index your website next time, then the url's will ignored parameters should be gone from google search results
You're unlikely to find any official statement like that. Google rarely comment on how Page Rank flows - your only hope is to look through all Matt Cutts' videos and blog posts.
