I know, it's supposed to be Big Daddy, but we all know what I mean...

Have you, like me, been following your SERPs in the BigMomma datacenters? There's an enormous amount of jiggling and bobbling going on, isn't there?

I'm assuming that, although Mutts is telling us where it's happening, Mutts is damn well not telling us what is happening! I'm imaganing a team of girls playing with their big Daddy, twiddling his knobs and seeing what gives - I've got this feeling that it isn't perfected.

Maybe Mutts spoke too soon - the girls still have a lot of knobs to play with.

    What are you seeing?

on the actually Big daddy DC, I'm not seeing any real significant movement over the past few days. The SERPS seem pretty steady to me...

Well theirs certainly some constant backlink, cached pages, and pagerank flux that's been going on ever since Jagger and Bigdaddy. I think this is also the reason there hasn't been a toolbar update... they can't even keep the current toolbar stable yet.

My serps have been running all up and down the scale. It's been really messy for months.

All my good positions were demolished on Sept 22. They've been up and down since January, slowly going up when you average all the ups and downs. Still very irratic though. Just today one of my medium competitive kw's moved into the top ten. I haven't made any changes in the site or seo, all the changes are just on googles end.

I almost wonder if there was some kind of data loss or corruption on googles end, and as they get it repaired my sites are moving back up. That seems kinda outlandish though, it seems like google would have back ups and with their resources they just wouldn't mess up like that. Or maybe something happened to data and they just didn't care to fix it, knowing it would resolve itself in time.

Kinda my theory with BigDaddy, but I think it was on purpose.
It may have been faster to seed in some data, crawl, then analyze/rank, rather than upload everything at once - links, rank data, etc.

hehe, when are they going to have a BigBrother update :) The phrase line can be.

    "We are always watching"

Sounds about right for google :). But more importantly, I am seeing some good results with the big daddy update, still a few smaller things that are popping up.

    But overall better

    Well thats my 2 cents
