Has anyone else seen this ?

    http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=submit+link&btnG=Search&meta=

I was doing a search on google new zealand and came across this...
google appears to be dividing the page into quadrants? with the top three results nestled with the same divider that normally resides by the adwords section. It make you want to click the top three for sure.

the search was submit link so i would assume there are enough results without having to divide the screen. a new layout in beta?

Yeah, I came across that one too a couple days ago. It looks really weird IMO.

Thats been there for a long time. Its not really a known beta or something. Its just that those keywords are differentiated into groups and relevant results are shown as Group.

It's normal as the second part is a keyword related results and if your inner pages is well optimized and targeting this related keyword you can get two listings in the top10 results.

Personally i think this is just another attempt by Google to get more traffic to itself from its own search engine.

I don't like the layout at all. I can't even say why. I just find it annoying.

Google should stop doing this. It is questionable under competition rules and regulations.
