I think that the Subscribed Links feature is a fabulous feature, that is little understood. Its a program that allows you to convert visitors into repeat visitors very effectively. Getting into the Google directory of subscribed links is very helpful too. You can read more about this program here: http://www.stonetemple.com/blog/?p=19

Google Suggest is great for a number of things. If I can't spell a word or name, I go there and start typing and it gets the spelling for me. It's also a good tool to figure out what is popular in searches, type a letter and see what it starts suggesting.

One nice thing about Google Alerts is that if you live in a booming resort area and don't time to go to all the city councel meetings or have a contact who goes and will report to you, you can use GA to keep you abreast of the names of the newly approved resort complexes so you can get a jump on creating sites to target searches for reservations at those places. Or at least selling ads to those who handle the reservations.
This is the thing i don't know about Google. Anyway, here are the Google services I used: Gmail Analytics Reader For Spreadsheets and Docs, I think http://www.thinkfree.com/ is better than them
Yes i find Google news alerts useful. Though as-it-happens alert does not exactly give you an alert as stated.
For someone like me who is always on the move and in need of some handy references, a huge win for me has been Google Bookmarks. I love the service and cannot believe it has not been mentioned. And i must say i have been subscribing to Alerts since its implementation. I use it mostly to see what my competition is up to, and for this it is worth its weight in gold!
