Google before & after

As the owner of www.legalfundinggroup.com, I am trying to make a key word ranking decision. I have a slight understanding of what happen to my rankings on Google. (I.e. changes made at the end of November 03)

Should my index search terms come before or after? For example we used to be ranked #1 for the following http://lawsuit-funding.legalfundinggroup.com/ we fell of the first 100 pages after the change and now seem to be stuck on pages 6-10.

I am considering using a key word firm to help rank my pages. Their claims conflict with my designer.

Some of the keywords we used to rank well with are: Lawsuit funding, lawsuit financing, lawsuit loan, lawsuit loans, litigation funding, litigation financing.

Well on-page changes might alter your rankings a little bit, but to get back to the first page of results, you need to acquire more inbound links from external websites, with your keywords within the anchor text of those links.

I don't understand why the link from your content on the home page goes to http://lawsuit-funding.legalfundinggroup.com/??? Why not have it go to http://www.legalfundinggroup.com/lawsuit-funding.html??

I can't be sure of this but it seems to me you maybe diluting what PR value you have by using this different URL for all you links. One of the things that is apparent is that Google isn't even reporting all you internal links in it's backlink SERP. This unusual URL creation maybe the reason.

I don't think there is anything necessarily wrong with your keyword selection. If you want to work on the content I would suggest writing more of it. There is barely a paragraph on each page. Those people who think content is an important driver for the search engines recommend at least 250 to 300 words per page.

But the real answer is backlinks. You just need more links. There must be a ton of ways that you could get links. What about all the people you have helped find funding. What about all the attorneys who benefited from that funding.

Before you hire a keyword specialist consider hiring a link specialist. Your site should be a slam dunk to get ranked well if somebody knows what they are doing with a linking strategy.

    I quite agree

Subs are not a good thing at all written like this, and, although I would not recommend at all placing pages down short on content [less than 250 words] it can work as I have a two word page doing quite well thankyou at the moment - the imporatant thing being that they are all linked as Compar and Brian suggest.
