Anyone care to tell us what going on at google.be homepage? A court hearing has taken place recently. TIA
Yes it is. I am from Belgium but the text is very difficult to read. It is about rights of copying journal text.
Further readings I found related to this topic: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2006/09/about-google-news-case-in-belgium.html http://money.cnn.com/2006/09/22/new...a.google.belgium.reut/?postversion=2006092212 I think the trial loss didn't disturbed Google as much as being forced to display that text on Google.Be The world-wide law system it's very complicated and there are verious glitches that definitely look weird to some while appearing as normal regulations to others.
same legal notice (intl/nl_ALL/legal_notice.html) you can find http://www.google.be/intl/nl_ALL/legal_notice.html http://www.google.co.uk/intl/nl_ALL/legal_notice.html http://www.google.com/intl/nl_ALL/legal_notice.html ..... and more URL you can use G its tool to translate the URL from French to English http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en who knows when the legal notice will be changed... maybe you will be the next person to sue google G remove all (site:www.lesoir.be): http://www.google.be/search?q=site:www.lesoir.be for more info: http://www.chillingeffects.org/notice.cgi?sID=2160
No wonder Google wasn't notified in time, atleast the French version of the court documents spells Google's address wrong
