Is there a way to track all of my google base traffic through google analytics? I tried browsing around but i couldn't find an option to view all traffic from google base as a referrer. Can anyone provide some insight?
Here's your answer. Google's official blog on tracking Google Base I'd been wondering this myself. Ironically, Google ignores their own webmaster guidelines by saying we need to duplicate our content.
thank you very much for pointing that article out a unique way of workign around it using the query string with the ref=base rep'd you my man thanks again !
The easier way to simply add a query string to your Google Base submission that designates the source of the traffic. An example might look like this “http://abcd.com/super-cool-page/?ref=baseâ€. Then to determine the amount of traffic you get from Google Base go to the Content Section of google analytics, select the “landing pages reportâ€, and in the “find url search†at the bottom search for urls containing “ref=baseâ€.
