Haven't seen this mentioned here yet, but I know it will affect many DPers. The Inside AdSense blog has clarified Google's position on certain kinds of deceptive ad blending: Another look at optimizations. I have some further discussion on my AdSense blog, too. Note that Google is NOT banning ad blending, as some people are saying. (Ad blending refers to the practice of choosing ad colors to match the surrounding page's colors.) What they're specifically going against are deceptive and misleading titles/headings and ad placements. Making your site's navigational bar look exactly like AdSense link units is an example. As is making a "Top 4 Ways to XXXX" type heading followed immediately by a large rectangle ad unit. The challenge, of course, is to find the balance between making ads blend and not making them deceptive... you don't want them to be too obviously ads, otherwise they won't be clicked on.
