I've had a similar experience with a similar ad network. The domain got all (except one) of its links from the network and only lasted one week in Google. I suspect that either the links were built up to fast or there was some bad neighborhood in the network.
I'll repost the message in full again - as it seems to have been erased from the co-op networks board without warning (a bit like my google problem in fact!). Google banning co-op sites ? We seem to have been banned from Google all of a sudden - difficult to get an exact answer out of Google (as usual), but the last generic email did hint that we made a mistake. The problem is - I have done only two structural changes to the site in the past six months (apart from the usual daily news postings). a) added google sitemaps - tracking etc seems fine via Google login b) signed up to co-op network. I have now removed the co-op and filed a reinclusion request - but as Google are, as usual, being less than helpful in explaining what we did wrong, I honestly can only think that co-op is the cause of this. Has anyone ever experienced a problem, as I cant seem to find any supporting evidence on the forums for this - and yet it seems to be the only reason why we would be suddenly banned. Thanks
If google do ban coop sites then there will be a huge number of people posting the same thing on this forum. I am pretty sure its something else.
i don't think you were banned ,if you are not able to see your indexed pages in google.this happend to me when i added my sitemap but autocorrected when i deleted my sitemaps... you can view some similar problems in sitemaps section..
Ive had 20k at pointed at 1 site less than a year old and over time noticed a very big difference in not only indexed pages but traffic too... So i would say its something else.
The site is about 5 years old and has reguarly ranked somwhere in the top 5 for most of our interested keywords. Suddenly vanished - some drop I can understand, but this is a total wipe out. Very oddly though (forgot this earlier) - the site: report does list a lot of the pages, but all using a .shtml file suffix which we stopped using about a year ago when I migrated the entire site to php. I have deleted the sitemap from Google and the server - will see if that does have an effect though - afterall, things cant get any worse !
Ouch!!!! New site + sandbox + a ton of back-links = er....not good!!! I got 31,542 pounds of weight, and I'm giving almost all my sites 3% of the weight since there new sites, and that alone gives them about 1,000 views a day, more than enough to be seen by Google! One site that I bombed with weight enough to show up to about 30,000 times a day...looks banned, and it was registered in January!!!!
