Hello Friends, one of my friends website got banned from google. actually he gave 100's of backlinks to that site from his other website in 1 day. is it the reason?
His site could have gotten banned for so many reasons. He needs to go through the TOS very carefully.
Is there any way to find out what he (or others in this situation) did that caused the site to be removed? Hi btw - new here!
No. If getting a site banned was that easy, I would give all my competitors several hundred back links today. POOF! GONE! I don't think so Tim. Bompa
100's of links from his other website or websites. If you meant hundreds of links from his other 1 website then I can assume that 1 site wide link from this website got him banned by Google which doesnt look enough for me, however .. please let us know if this website/websites have the same IP/WHOIS and what type of website is your friend's is it web directory or a quality original content website?
I suggest he reads some of the information Google provides on how to get a site indexed and what to and not to do to stay there. He did something wrong if they just banned him. Google has a lot of information, I would suggest he sign up for webmaster tools and he can see what is going on with his site.
Maybe he could use the webmaster tools from Google to gain more info, and evenetually request a reconsideration from them
Google is so very slow to reconsider a website. I've submitted 2 reinclusion requests and apparently they get so many that they can't keep up. My theory is that they don't look at the requests because they think their algorythms are so good that they don't need to. I had one site that was banned (Or Whatever?) and submitted a request 2 years ago and it just now popped back into the results? I had given up on that site but now it's back in doing good like nothing ever happened? I suggest your friend buy another domain name and start over because 2 years is a long time to waste on reinclusion requests!
Why don't you ask your friend. I bet he already knows the reason why he got banned from Google's SERPs.
If you believe that is the cause than it is otherwise don't make assumption. Sometime assumption just make our head want to explode. And seo related matters is something you don't want to find the exact cause because the algorithm is a secret no one knows.
I think the mysteriousness of it all is ridiculous. I think if your site has been banned - the specific reason(s) should be outlined for you within webmaster tools so that you can correct them and check them off - this might speed up the reinclusion process and help people who have genuinely made mistakes ...
