As pointed two reasons: 1- you have a programme running and making automated requests to google, 2- someone hacked you, and installed a rootkit or similar software and that someone is making automated requests using YOUR computer.
I forgot. If it is your programme making those requests, then there usually is a config file adjusting the speed and time interval of queries to google. Slowing it down and making the interval wider will eliminate (hopefully) the problem.
when it happened to me, google asked me to enter a captcha code and as soon as i entered the code, everything seemed fine.
Its not SEO firefox plugin, I ve got it installed too. And i doubt its IP related. I had a similar problem. I used to get that message but only on IE - no problem in other browsers. Try using different browser.
In our LAN, we ofter have to enter a captcha code due to some one always using a software to check SERP. It seems that google not only prohibits one computer, but also whole LAN with same gateway.
You have done too many automated or maybe manual requests and triggered a temporary ban of your ip. Tomorrow it should be working again.
Totally new thing for me.If ADSL line gets such problem then I will also get one in future a sI just recently got ADSL line
delete cookies close the browser open browser again and try. It should work fine. Nothing fancy and next time remember dont query google too fast multiple times.
Google has a stated policy against automated queries http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66357 lots of seo software will trigger it, and so will just doing a lot of heavy searching.
People please read the OP's posts next time. As I stated before the problem was fixed and I got the answer last page, I appreciate everyones answers but please read the previous posts before posting as most of the times the questions were answered already and all that is happening when someone else posts is creating spam.
this is really amazing to me. i have never got this message.. have your try to reset your ip? or maybe format your pc
It also happen to me . . .I see that info way back then at the time I installed seo quake on my browser. Maybe its too large for my browser and come up with that message.
Happens same to me, when I use Internet Explorer! But when I use FF, Safari or Opera, it works fine. IE sucks!
Does anyone in this forum know how to read lol? look at my previous posts! The problem was resolved, thank you for your answers but don't bump this thread anymore.
