Hello, I found many Threads here in DP and people are talking about Google Backlinks. Could someone let me know what a Google Backlink is? What is the different between normal Backlink and Google backlink? And how can I get Google Backlink? Thanks, ameran
there is no difference....google doesn't show all your backlinks when using the link: command, I guess that why people use the term google backlink for differentiation
back links are the url's of the website which gives link to you, it may be one-way or reciprocal. Normal backlinks are the number of links you are getting back from these sites and Google Backlinks are the number of links Google feel to be co7unted as relevant/valuable backlink.
I just wanted to add that Google updates the number of backlinks (that you can see when executing the link:<your_url> command) only once in a while, last was at the end of April along with the TBPR (Tool Bar Page Rank) update.
If they were not that important google won't show them or show the equal number for each site , imo. But my site having 3000 backlinks shows 14 of them but my site which has 1050 backlinks shows 23 of them.(The first one is older pr4 , second one is pr3). From my experience entertainment etc sites shows more , and for business sites it is hard to increase the value.And the ones showing more backlinks with the link: command has better serps.
