No problem. Ignore how many links google says. It does not show the majority of links pointing to a site.
Yahoo shows the most accurate amount of links. You can also add your site to the Google webmaster tools, and it will show many more links than the normal google search page, but it takes some fiddling, and a couple of weeks delay. The google tool is pretty common use for some SEO professionals, but not essential. I still use the yahoo tool often, as it is a very quick and instant service. Be aware that it still shows nofollow links. If these are worth anything in terms of SEO value is a big discussion in itself, so I'll stick to the thread topic.
Good thing but this when it's a forum not a site which offering free services like image hosting or shortening URLs or any similar services so what about this kind of sites ?
Makes no difference. I did read the other day that yahoo will be shutting down its backlinks site explorer in 2013 due to the merge with Bing, this could change the SEO game somewhat.
I've had the same frustrations with Google not showing backlinks soon enough, but over time it works out, they show up and you rank higher, for now be happy knowing you are getting your links as shown by yahoo and bing, they will show up in Google, no worries.

Usually, only the sites having decent page-rank are shown google back-links, we are unnecessarily giving it so much of importance. If we are performing decent back-linking strategy along with good quality content they are bound to give it to us in longterm!
where do you check backlinks from? from google webmaster's tool from ? SeoQuake? That is extremely unusual, cause google is usually very fast in crawling pages.
I say, Google's back link counts more so I suggest you work on building your site's popularity through frequently indexed link partners or website pages.

I have the same question how one can have google backlinks instead of yahoo backlinks? Where we should we submit our likns so we have the google links not yahoo links. Thanks
