    on the subject of backlinks i own a diy site that goes up and down from page 2 and 1 , but looking at 1 of the sites in the top 20 they have a backlink on a page and the only link back i can see is from a google ad on the site , ive always thought they didnt count, also many of the sites have backlinks to them that are actually on the site, how does that work?
