No PR, but definitely back links. 12,100 for [search=google]link:www.digitalpoint.com/tools/geovisitors/[/search]. I know it's not a rollback because that page has only existed for a few weeks.
OK check this out: http://directory.google.com/Top/Recreation/Humor/Useless_Pages/Trivia/ My site is listed #4 and the listing is arranged by page rank. My site is showing PR4 which it attained last update but the site below me shows PR5 so my site must now be PR5 no?
Same here. Backlinks doubled. No PR changes...yet. I doubt that they have addressed PR yet, because I am virtually certain that I have some higher PR coming for various pages in the next update.
With this last update, i think the theory that Google will not show backlinks from site-wides with hundreds of thousands of pages anymore. I have 10+ site-sides , form 10 websites with at least 200.000 pages. Before jagger started by backlinks, for some of my websites, were 30.000 - 50.000 +. Now... whilst the links did remain, my backlinks are in the manner of 1400 - 4000 I think Google is doing a good thing
Looks like the quality of the links are being sorted. All my new backlinks have full descriptions. Before I had more, but many had those short non descriptive links and such. One site jumped from 7 to 268 BLs though. I like that. It's a relatively new site.
Awesome observation and find, roman1!!!! You just found the best PR prediction out there! A site we just recently created for a campaign was launched 16-Nov, post the last PR update. It's showing in the Google Directory as a PR5 http://www.google.com/Top/Regional/...itics/Candidates_and_Campaigns/US_House/?il=1 Good show roman1!
Well, it'd be hard to argue the authenticity of this one Maybe we're going to see a PR update earlier than thought?
Well, I am glad to hear everyone else is seeing good things. For my new sites, no backlinks. For blazemp.com, it is only showing 167 now, down from thousands. I know it doesn't really matter what we "see", but still... I'd like to see something better! :>
Ironically, I'm seeing some huge drops in backlinks too, but likely a matter of Google either not being done with the synchronization, or a mere continuation (but to a bigger degree) of the sandbagging of BLs ... still seeing your site holding onto a PR7 though ... so lack of visible Google backlinks is not having an adverse effect on that for you at least.
Hmmm one site went from a PR5 to PR3 so some sort of PR update is happening, it gained about 100 backlinks. The other sites either gained a few links or stayed the same. Indexed pages haven't changed although 1 site did gain pages last week.
