Google Backlink Update started...

Ok, just checked and seeing a BL update on 3 datacenters:


It's weird though, seeing less backlinks then there were, which shouldn't be. It MIGHT be old data showing, not sure. Whatever it is is in flux though, because when I checked manually I see my current counts.

Yeah, damn, sry... ran it again and nada... but I swear it was!

That's why I took the screenshot, so y'all would know I at least knew I wasn't lying about what I saw, and wasn't calling a shift in serps an update.

I'll check again before bed.

I'm seeing indexed pages going from 89 low to 112 high today for one of my sites, nothing yet on backlinks though

You are not crazy I saw backlink update on three data centers a little earlier as well. It may be on its way....what ever that is worth.

 

well of course, since more pages are getting deindexed it would only make sense that backlinks will start dropping

You know what's nutz? I'm actually afraid to go to bed till I see it again. I mean, gonna go now, but I KNOW I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night and feel compelled to check...

what site do you use to check the backlinks on different datacenters?

 

I've been using http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank-dc.html and http://www.prinformer.com/

There is also this one: http://www.mcdar.net/Q-Check/datatool.asp that's quite popular but it always times out for me.

 

I wrote my own script.

I'm usign http://www.linkadage.com/linkadage-info/metrics_checker.htm - my PRs and backlinks are dancing... 1 of 10 DCs are showing less than the others

I think this will work and for you..

notice the PR "1" DCs and 0 backlinks reported...

 

I don't see a damn thing changing no matter which tool I use to check.
