Google backlink tracker in keyword ranking tool not working

    Hi,

    Can someone please check out my account 'DanH_Google' as the backlinks / pagerank / pages tracking for all my sites is coming up empty, even though I am getting some results in the Keywords section?

    Seems to be working for the back links I check. What's the URL you are tracking (exactly as entered into the back link tracker)?

    Since I think the meta keywords tag appears to be nearly useless this is a little thing but your list of keywords seems particularly useless. Can you imagine anyone searching for ideas? What kind of ideas? I might search for decorating ideas, publishing ideas, design ideas, ... but never just ideas. Ideas seems to broad to be of benefit. What do overature and wordtracker have to say on ideas keyword?

    Like you say, keywords are pretty low on my list of priorities right now, and I haven't looked at them for ages.

    Wasn't really looking for a site review, just trying to give Shawn an example to work with. But now you mention it, you've got a point, so I'll probably go do a bit of housekeeping when I've got a mo.

    Works for me when I try it under the back link tracker... showing 5,060 links, PageRank 4 and 43 Pages In URL.

    Is that EXACTLY how you entered it? If so, might want to check that your Google API Key is valid.

    Thanks for looking into this Shawn!

    Don't quite understand it; I try checking an existing site, and it doesn't work, so I copy the URL displayed and paste it in to create a new site, and it works??

    The only thing I can think is that maybe I entered it first time round with the 'http://', but the listing automatically strips it off, so I didn't notice? Anyway, seems I can sort this out just by entering them again, so that's what I'll do.
