Hi everyone. I have some real nice ideas and am thinking of putting together some nice webmaster tools. I went to google's terms of service and they say If I wanted to add in a pagerank checker, link checker or anything similar, I guess according to these TOS, I'm not allowed to do it. But then I see so many sites out there, busy ones too making a killing and doing it. So then I think, if they can do it, I can too. I'm confused. Is it legal to make a website which queries google for pagerank, links and other stuff? If not, is google going to take action against all these sites out there. Should I risk it and make mine too. Any suggestions would be helpful. Any legal advice would really help. thx
you can register for an Google API key and it allows you to send 1000 queries per day. If you can have the user provide his api key and then use his key for his query then I think its legal. I use this site http://www.googlerankings.com, they ask me to provide my api key and then use it to query.
