Just heard of Google Authorship and how it works in bringing customers by targeting them to the money website?
Please read this useful post about Google authorship http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jayson-demers/the-complete-guide_b_2831249.html
Here's how it works. Type "Jim Feeney" in a Google search. Check the results and ask yourself which one you are likely to click. Probably the one with the authorship info and photo, right? That's how it works to get more traffic.
Frankly I was not aware of it. I plan to apply for Google Authorship myself. Wish me good luck, all of you!
I used some tutorial of this but suddenly i came up with nothing I still can't see my picture in search engines.
In many local searches, many websites are not using Google Authorship. If you decide to use Authorship, either on your site or a client's site, you can see a huge boost in traffic, even if you are listed 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
Google Authorship has a unique feature compared to other websites ranks on the SERPs and it has the picture of the author the title contains the name and the title of the site or content along with their numbers of Google circles. This feature attracts the visitors to click their link and that's why it is called rich snippets.
Google Authorship is a feature where you have to verify that you are Owner and Author of that particular website. There are some advantages of Google Authorship -Increase You CPC in Adsense -More preference is given -Increase trust in search engines
Google authorship was not a google authorship, it started work as a agent, in 2005 Google filed US patent on agent rank.
Basically pointless, since apparently enough people did not implement it to make it usable for making it a search ranking factor. normal, since few people would want to expose their identity with a recognizable facial headshot on the internet - search results to boot. especially with all the privacy violations and spying, its normal.
Having your picture come up directly in the search results increases the click through rates and I certainly won't turn down more Google traffic.
