Google Authority Site???

Here is the deal: I am a full time chef and do advertise my own sites through different outlets.

Hence my sites are in the wedding niche.

This one site is a Wordpress blog, close to 1 year old.

Whenever I make a post, it gets indexed and cached within 5 minutes, no joke. Sometimes within 2 minutes.

But that's not all. The post usually ends up on first page of Google for the keyword....

Kinda awesome, isn't it?

My question: is this considered an authority site in the eyes of Google?

That is awesome as by best is a couple of hours and that isn't an authority site!

 

I think google gives priority to WP

 

i have the same on some of my wordpress sites, between 5- 10 mins untill indexed , i think alot is the niche you are in also, plus Google does like WP

 

Indexing and ranking of newly created content doesn't really mean you have an authority site, it's about having nor getting SE crawlers to your new pages instep to index it.

Am almost sure that your newly created posts won't rank for long, and later on the will start to drop based on their BL profile..

This is called fresh quality content and it's great for your entire site on the long run, let's just hope people out there will love your content and find it linking worthy by linking to it

Most likely you are right.

I have also 1 year domain who got same issue.

After some research I've find out that it is some cool trick to find out if it is an authority or not but it is quite valid for me & my research so I have no idea if it will work for others.

I can compare your blog and my website and see if I see both as same structure I see mine, If so - There is a way to see authority websites.

Well, when you search for your site in google, does google show sitelinks? if so, it is, or if it doesn't, it will probably when it will update the index, so I am guessing you got the authority.

 

Yeah, That's true..

But not completely, I've seen few websites with sitelinks but no "authority" as I've seen it.

Or, Some websites that I see my "authority" as from my POV but no sitelinks.

But most of the authority do have sitelinks, That's for sure

 

I don't think so. I believe that Google is just giving priority to WP blogs.

I also have same situation.. Its mobile blog on my siggy.. I'm not sure its authority site or not.. But It have Google sitelink.. But no page rank.. Indexed also fast.. Like 20 minute after posting.. is this consider authority site?

 

Indexed fast is not considered as auth sites unless you have the sitelinks.
Auth sites do have the tendency of getting high PR, indexed faster and ranked higher but this is not necessarily the case.

 

Wordpress blogs always get to have indexed quicker than any other platsform or web hosting, it even getting index faster than blogger platform.

 

Right, wordpress blog is a nice platform. And, there are still some many web2.0 platforms working just as great as workpress blogs.

Google shows 74 backlinks ( webmasters tools shows 3400), Yahoo shows 6,000 and so on.

The thing is that whenever I post an article, it ranks on first page even with 3,000,000 competition.
Some of the posts I made 3-4 months ago are still there, so they hold first page.

The site went recently to PR3 as well, eventhough I don't care for PR, I am in it to promote my own sites and not to sell links

 

Thats good to hear. Also I like to refer to yahoo site explorer more than Google backlinks. They just dont show up so dont get disheartened if you see little backlinks at Google.

Wordpress is very SEO-friendly - its a great way to get noticed and indexed quickly in the search engines. Sounds like you are having some great success with blog posts on wordpress, keep it up!

 

I hope you bone heads ( and I mean that affectionately ) remember to sign out of your Google account when searching so that you can get accurate results the way everyone else sees them, and not the suggested results based on your search patterns.

 

Google likes website updates and ping them, thats what WP did. Not so high-tech.
