really interesting! google is really expanding it's features in a very creative way. i think i also have to try this soon!
The ad sounds great . I was thinking about advertising audio to reach a broader audience. BTW I use your website webcosmo from before. I love the look of it.
I am not sure if you meant if you could advertise on the radio station of your choice. So far what I have seen, they dont have any option like that. They wont even tell you on the report what stations playing your ad. Hope they ad it later on. I like the fact that you can reach a huge new audience for small money comparatively. But eventually all matter is our ROI.
No, I meant I have a radio, 30,000 listeners and I've tried selling ads on it here with not the response I would have liked but yeah
Its been two days my ad started playing. I don't see any affect of radio ads on my website statistics. Guess two days not enough, I have to wait little longer may be.
Audio ads definately has the possibility to fill up any unsold airspace on radio stations ... it could be one reason why it is relatively cheap - however, if it can get through to the right people then it is worth it. As said before, at the end of the day ROI is key. As it is in beta, google likely do have an application form for radio stations to apply - but it may be restricted to certain areas only. As it is rolled out, the catchment area for radio stations to apply will increase. The ad posted by webcosmo was quite good - I would say it is very early to tell on the results... however, you paid for 69 airplays... how many airplays have actually been done? Any stats that show airplays remaining in adwords? I am in the uk and just told a friend about it - he is launching a business dealing with audio for websites... and could become useful to him when it gets rolled out to the UK - might even get a freebie from him as a way of a sample for telling him about it (if he can either get added to google marketplace or is able to provide the service through his own site in the future).
So far the ROI isnt much promising. They played 5 times. 54 plays left. Stats on google shows how many plays done, not how many left. One major decision here on audio ads is your choice of channels. If you choose the wrong channel probably wont do much good. Well lets see how it goes. Two days probably gonna be too early to get into a decision.
