Recently google started the Audio Ad. If anybody used this service, could you please give me some details like if it was effective.
If you can get your ad copy and creative free or VERY cheap, yes, Google RadioAds work very well. You can't negotiate the saturation you can acheive by dealing direct with a radio station. I got over 69 radio plays in one single market for $50
Sounds cool, but what was the ROI? $50 is $50 is $50. Be it 69 radio plays for $50 or 1 TV play or 100,000 banner ads - the most important aspect is - how much did you make with your $50 investment?
Since its new on google I guess not lot of fellow members at DP would have used it. I recently giving it a try for my site http://www.webcosmo.com. Hopefully it will air on July 6. They are charging me 94 dollars for 69 spots. On top of that I have to pay 165 dollars to make the add. They have good artist though who make the ad. Lot of them will make the entire thing for you. Some don't. Choosing the Buy Out option is a good idea. I am using Michael Corley. I tried online to find other peoples experience. Also posted here at DP. Found online only one experience. He is saying he had 500% better results then his other advertising options!!! I wouldn't really fall for this. Good thing is google is giving you 400 dollars credit for using it until July 23 I guess. So basically I am spending 165 for trying it. I will stop if it doesn't bring any good difference. All matters is ROI of course.
Google radio ads = dMarc Broadcasting connected to Google. Google now controls the ads of more than 800 radio stations across the nation. They run the #1 ad marketplace for radio ads in the country now and Google audio ads is their solution for their customers (it's AdWords for radio ads). It works wonderfully and just needs to be optimized. I use radio ads for clients and they are already superiorly happy with the results. 69 radio plays would likely equal rather intense saturation of your brand and site. Radio ads should mainly be used for companies in this new day and age of digitalized radio ads. Search Google audio ads/dMarc Broadcasting for more details on this program. Also check out SpotRunner for TV ads as well as Google TV ads for internet syndicated video ads, soon to be shown on video sites such as YouTube. PM me for any other details
Its for the US market only. Radio stations would be happy for sure getting such a help from google. I guess this audio ad isnt getting much popularity at google yet. They are giving 400 dollars credit, they wouldnt do it if it was already that popular. Its just another way of marketing. Hopefully it will work for us.
Since you have some experience on this, you could suggest me something. I am setting up an ad for my site http://www.webcosmo.com trying to reach the audience of 23-50 year age range male and female. What stations would be good for me to advertise?
I will suggest to keep the cost for making your ad low. You can make one from 100-200 dollars. Also you gonna get 400 dollars from google to play with it.
Another option, use people from India, China or even use the consumer-generated ideas from YouTube. You could easily pay a college student or HS student to create your ad OR you could hold a contest on YouTube to create your ad for a certain amount of money (let's say $100) and get hundreds to thousands to create your ad if you have a good amount of maven friends on YouTube (i.e. LonelyGirl15, etc.). For targeting that rage, use the targeting section on there -- that age range usually listens to alternative up to soft rock and oldies songs. Other areas could easily be seen in the AM stations and such. Hope this helps. There is MUCH more demographic data than that but that's for a later post. I gave you some green rep for adding this idea in.
Using a job for offer as an advertising tool sounds like a great idea. After all you have to pay somebody to get it done. Well bad luck for me, I already have it done. Next time I will remember this tips. Here is the link to the ad Michael Corley made for me: http://www.webcosmo.com/web.mp3
The ad sounds great! Can you use it elsewhere? Or are you restricted to only using it with Google's offering?
You can make the ad in two ways: - Buy out - Pay per use With the first option its all yours, you can do whatever you like to do with it. And second you cant, you have to pay the company every time you use it. I had the buy out option, so I can use it anywhere else.
