Hi Yesterday I was reading an article and for the life of me cant find the link to it, to post up. However what it was saying google recently are now not looking at article links from article websites as very good quality anymore. We have created some unique well written articles and submitted them to all the big article websites, and we got some really good backlinks for this in the past and wonder if this is now dead? Has anyone heard anymore about this, or have any further info on it?
they keep on saying the same about directory links and social bookmarking links also, but still these are trends.
Yes they have been saying that article directory and web directory links would be devalued for a while now. I don't know if they have actually followed through on that yet. I doubt they would do a mass-devaluing on all directories. More likely, they would just lower the value of links from the more spammy directories. I still rely on articles and they still seem to be producing positive results. Perhaps their benefits are a little lower now, but it is tough to determine. This is why it is important to vary your link building techniques and get links from multiple sources.
that's what i also think before.. dead...maybe google don't give much weight. but as long as it count as backlinks, it helps..
I have posted one thread to know why it is so and i feel that content might be the issue and not article directory, so i am trying to research from people's experience before reaching any conclusion My recent thread to research from people's comment : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1306485
I think this is a just a slow process to factor in...good article content will always give a website traffic...any time someone forgets content is king they need to remember that the net is ALL about content.
