Google announce that you can now create and share presentations with Google Docs -- the application in Google Apps formerly known as Docs & Spreadsheets. With this feature, you can create a new set of slides from scratch or import existing presentations and share and collaborate on them in real time. You can even drive a presentation remotely while colleagues or clients look on from their own computers. Curious about how it all works? Check out this short video, Google Docs in Plain English. You can also take the Google Docs Tour.
The problem that I have with Google Docs is that the result dosn't look as good as it would if you done it with a normal office suite. The browser makes it just too ugly. However I find Google Docs great for writing drafts up at school, because I can access them from any computer.
I would disagree. I know several people that use Google Docs to help manage a new startup, and it works very well for them. I think it is worth trying, and if it fits your needs keep using it.
