Has any one used this ? I want to use my own domain's email with gmail. dont want to use it with pop3 secondary accounts. what are pros and cons. Let me know. Thanks
I have just know that you can use Google Apps to your website to make it more friends for the users like email account where you can create your own login email for your website
I've used it. You're creating some CNAME and MX Records according to your service. Google navigates you while doing this. Then you will use Gmail with your domain @yourdomain.com with your own accounts. (Forexample: ) You'll also have all specialities as using gmail like 7GB quota etc. Thanks.
Yeah right, is it worth doing, and the free version is trial or completely free ? i just need 2 email address made. for my own use.
Google Apps does offering a good integration between their related services such as email / calendar and your homepage. It has quite a lot of details. I tried this on one of my domains and it worked pretty well. I wanted to make use of googles spam filters which work better than the ones my web host currently used. Unfortunately, I've been managing e-mail servers for 10 years or so and I became really accustomed to the flexibility in forwarding addresses and aliases, etc. Gmail integration didn't let me do that so I quit using it for that purpose. So while it didn't work so well for how I do things, it would probably work well for most people.
I use google apps for my business and really like it so far. they have been dealing with a bug though where you can't properly sync your account to a phone, but I know they are working diligently to get that fixed.
