Hello, Our company uses Google Apps for Domain (and we are very satisfied with it). Until recently, we were accessing our email via http://mail.google.com/a/domain.com , but we then realized that it can be accessible via http://mail.domain.com by updating CNAME and MX records for our DNS zone. We have full access to WHM and cPanel. However, what we are trying to accomplish, if possible, that, when someone types http://mail.domain.com , it does NOT redirect him/her to http://mail.google.com/a/domain.com , but it remains on that very domain. For example, the address for GMail inbox in that case would be http://mail.domain.com/#inbox Is it somehow possible? Thank you very much. Regards, Deusdies Inc
If the Settings asked by Google Have been Done Properly this is certainly Possible. We have A Few users Using Google Apps for the Domain and the Addresses of the inbox ishttp://mail.domain.com/#inbox They have just done the Settings required by google.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, if you go to http://mail.domain.com/#inbox , you will get access to our inbox. However, if you do it, the URL in the address bar changes to http://mail.google.com/a/domain.com/#inbox . Is it somehow possible not to change the URL in the address bar? In other words, is it somehow possible to make it look as if it was self hosted solution? Thank you
