    Application Programming Interface....I think its a set of rules that you can use to connect and pull data from some of google's services..

    thank you , yeah I know API on some programming language like VB6
    so we can use API code to connect for gmail for example and grab contact addresses ??

    They stopped giving out the API keys that you can use to track your site's rankings for certain keywords.

    If you have a google key you can use the google api for programming or developing services using the google services like google earth or even the google search it self as well as all the services offered by google.

    api.google.com is the way to go.

    bad thing is that now they don't issue soap apis. :(
