Google API

In the co-op account settings it has an option to enter a Google API, enabling a user to update their weight whenever they want. I followed the link given, and end up at a terribly confusing page on Google. Seems there are about a million different API's available, and within each one it's not particularly obvious how you actually get one.

Does anybody know which API I need, and where exactly you get it?

I wish you could still buy them or something.

Yeah, that was definitely confusing. Glad someone confirmed that the AJAX search API key is what you need.

Still not sure if I need a unique API key for each site I'd like to put into the network or if I can use the API key I generated for my main site.

netfreehost, enter you own url. Make sure it is the base url so it all your page and subdirectories are included.

I use a different API for each site. If you read about the Ajax API when you sign up for it says its good for the site you sign up for so I wouldn't use the same one for other sites.
