I don't like the idea. I say we have all the DP members who don't like it to submit negative feedback.

    On the first page:

"To build a great web search engine, you need to:

    1. Crawl a large chunk of the web.
    2. Index the resulting pages and compute how reputable those pages are.
    3. Rank and return the most relevant pages for users' queries as quickly as possible."

I can agree with points 1 and 2, but point 3 throws me off a little......more and more I'm using other search engines......

Dunno, seems the big G is resorting to some pretty strange marketing schemes

I'm hoping the related search terms change doesn't effect my view rate. I doubt it will, anyway

I don't see that big of changes, it seems to favor websites that are older.

Indeed, for some keywords changes are barely visible.

However there are huge changes in the new search and the old search.

The old search for my main keyword shows in 0.45 sec, and the new search is showing in .11 sec.

Now honestly, do you dislike it because it delivers poor results to you as a user or is it simply beacuse your sites rank lower in the beta 'caffeine' SERPs? ;)

Btw. I've noticed a lot of news sites and articles come up in the regular SERPs, and there are some other changes going on, so the new update is probably already being tested there as well.

    ITS FANTASTIC

Every search I've tried, is an improvement over "old" Google SERP.

my biggest gain was for "Weddings In Sacramento" (up 7 notches and moving up to top of Page One, previously #12 and on page 2 of "old" Google SE).

    Hooray for Google!!!

In some searches the new one is SLOW. Is a new algorithm being developed?

Apparently Google is trying to keep up with more realtime apps like Twitter, etc. - but I get the feeling that with more realtime comes more junk, spam, etc.
