Google and Yahoo Silent Killer

We know that Google is still the king of search and Yahoo is the queen.

I have learned from insiders that this new very memorable search engine
will be the Silent Killer of Google and Yahoo.

It may or may not be true, but once you know the name of this new
search engine you will never forget it.

Lol...Their main concern should be to make any money, not dreaming to be the next Google or Yahoo...

 

as far as i see it, when you click that search button and the wait for the results is more than 1 second the SE isnt worth using.

 

It does seem to turn up relevant sites, which is more than I can say for Cuil, but I don't see anything about it that would make it a Google killer. What am I missing?

 

it is not terrible, it is a little slow though... it seems to have copied many of google's ranking strategies

 

This is a pretty slow search engine, if more than 10 people started using it it probably would time out ;D

 

This thing is awful. The design is terrible and it doesn't display any relevant results. Just another waste of cyber space...

 

yeah pretty terrible tbh you need to improve your search results before trying to beat google.

 

Do you think the that LIVE Search from Micorosft will compete with these two in the future, since LIVE does the % back on ebay?

 

it's marketing 101 when releasing a new search engine to say it is the Google Killer.


I wonder if when Google launch did they go around saying they where the WebCrawler or Lycos killer?

 

I dont think neighter GOOGLE nor YAHOO will give a chance for it do so

Google and yahoo are two strong companies. The reason why Google has overtaken yahoo because they have introduced a new algorithm of indexing sites that yahoo does
manually before

Unless this site has a new innovative algorithm, I dont think it could surpass Google

 

Looks more to me like a Metasearch engine, with nothing spectacular. But I like the concept.

 

I tried to search the same keyword twice and is so quick the second time around.

Google is now very big brand and nobody is in compare anywhere near to it.

 

It will take time to compete Google or yahoo. Who knows i might be the most after some years.

 

Agreed, nobody is in compare right now with Google but not for too long.
