    Hi

I have some gategories inside my website and I added on every category an article into the <textarea> tag to save some space. How google will treat this? Is it dangerous for google? Will google index the html text inside my <textarea>?

    Thanks

This is a really good question and I'd like to know the answer to it too as I use this method on a number of pages, however what i would say is that the pages that i have used it on do not seem to be negatively effected in google serps by using this method.

<textarea> is a HTML tag and I do not think that Google will have any problem seeing this tag in your site. Why do you think that using this tag will be dangerous?

I mean..probably there are people (not my case) that will add many keywords in a small size textarea tag. I saw on a forum that sometimes google see the textarea tag as SPAM, just to avoid this practice.
