I found a site which is indexed as 1th and 2nd on google with the keyword "auksjon", but the 2nd one is actually a subdomain. But i don't understand why google is favorizing subdomains this way since it isn't very relevant for users, especially when it's almost a identical site on a subdomain. And they could propably create 8 more subdomains and rule the first page completely with this given keyword. This is obviously a lack of professionality by google and their algo system. http://www.google.no/search?hl=no&c...b-NO:official&hs=4LS&q=auksjon&btnG=Søk&meta=
perhaps the competition is low for that keyword and google just showed what it had. That may mean you just need to do a little optimizing and you'll have that guy beat in the rankings.
This is a very competetive norwegian keyword with over 2,5million hits and many of them are fighting for a good rank with this keyword. I myself am also focusing on this keyword, where I currently have like 3-400 backlinks and a PR3 site, but still not ranking very high.
I'm not seeing these results you are talking about. Keyword had 2.5 million results so it's definitely not low competition. I would be interested to see what sites he's talking about. Could be a google results hickup if you're not seeing it anymore. Maybe you visited that site so much that google thought you liked it and decided to show you 2 results?
You are not able to see the results since it's showing results from international DC's, not norwegian, without having a norwegian ISP. But this is in fact the results I am getting when i try search this keyword.
