Google and Proxy sites

Im reading a lot of threads here about people getting their accounts banned because they have adsense on their proxy sites.

If you have been banned/warned could you perhaps give some idea on why?

Is it generally not a good idea to have adsense on proxy sites?

    Hi,

Proxy sites have Always been risky business with adsense for a few reasons.

The traffic going to these sites could be fairly good from US schools to really aweful overseas traffic that google doesn't want.

Adsense is supposed to only be placed on sites that are content based so if you have a proxy site with a quick description of the site, a url bar, browse button and 4 ad blocks, this is not content.

Just don't get greedy and you'll likely be fine.
Instead of creating 100's of proxy sites with no content and pushing as much traffic as possible to them just take a slightly more controled approach and have a few to several sites that have some content (about why privacy is important or something) and don't make it too large a total percentae of your account earnings.

    Good luck!

google might afraid the proxy owner will earn too much from they adsense with no effort :D It might be not fair for people who pay for adwords though. just my thought

it's a risky business , so if you're afraid of losing your adsebse account don't use adsense on proxy sites

Google doesn't allow it because, potentially, you could have the user's browsing screen in one frame (looking at, say, porn) and then AdSense in another frame. And, statistically, users of proxies tend to randomly click AdSense ads to "help" the site owner - without paying attention to what the ads are even for.

Just not worth the risk in my opinion.
